I know it’s already January 4th, but I’ve needed a few days of reflection on this past year (also Marvel and I were both sick, which we caught from Daddy). So much happened but yet it went too fast.
Last year we rang in the New Year with my youngest brother. I was exhausted but we had fun playing Fibbage together into the early hours of the morning.
I also started this blog around the New Year last year.
We then got to go to FanX and meet some amazing stars, including Princess Leia herself, Carrie Fisher.
Sean got a new job and there was so much waiting around and wanting to be done being pregnant and then finally, in May, Marvel made her way into this crazy world.
I loved having my baby girl home and finally feeling better after the pains I had during pregnancy. But then I had more and more Gallbladder attacks which turned into Pancreatitis and caused my hospitalization for a weekend and then removal of the culprit.
Finally actually feeling better, and a week after having the stay at the hospital, our beautiful Marvel won a baby contest for a local 4th of July celebration (but in reality it goes for about a month or two). We were so proud and shocked as there were so many beautiful babies!
We moved apartment complexes. We’ve made new friends.
We took Marvel two her first (out of my body) convention where she got to meet many Marvel heroes, including Captain America himself, Chris Evans.
Marvel has decided she wants to grow up quickly so she started cutting her first teeth while at Salt Lake Comic Con, and has since become a master at sitting, pulling herself up and crawling.
I went to Pinners Conference and made my first actual earnings on this blog.
We celebrated Marvel’s first holidays and my birthday and learned how joyous it is to celebrate Christmas with a child.
All these things and more happened this year and I can still close my eyes and remember the first of the year last year. I’m so excited for what this year has in store.
I have a nephew on the way (my first!), though his parents (my brother and sister in law) live across the country, I’m so excited to become an aunt.
I’ll be going to Build Your Blog Conference at the end of February.
We have FanX in March (during Sean’s birthday).
We hope to go to Disneyland for Marvel’s birthday with my brother and his wife and their little one too.
Sean and I are also searching for a house to purchase (though that’s not a big hurry).
I know there will be many more amazing things to come this year. Most of them will be the small surprises that come from Marvel. She has been the best thing that happened to Sean and I in 2015 and brings the biggest amount of joy that we never could fathom before. My little Marvel really is, well, marvelous and I’m so glad to share her smile with the world.
