1. Anna from Frozen
Of course my top cosplay is going to be the one I spent the most time working on. I hand embroidered the entire skirt and bodice off and on for 9 months! I worked on it at work between phone calls at my day job and while I was watching the TV at home. It was definitely a an act of love, but I’m not sure that this act of love thawed anyone’s frozen heart! But it sure did bring smiles to children’s faces when they saw me walking the halls at Salt Lake Comic Con! Unfortunately Sean’s Kristoff wasn’t my best work but it worked for the day!
2. Han and Leia from Star Wars
I admit that these weren’t the best work I could have done for Han and Leia, but as my tutorial write up explains, I was going for cheap and easy because I was pregnant and didn’t want to work harder than I needed to.
But these two cosplays became some of my favorites because the attention we got was awesome. Of course there’s always a lot of Han and Leias around but people still stopped us for pictures. I even got stopped for a photo while waiting for the restroom by one of Carrie Fisher’s (Leia herself!) assistants! This was all before I got my picture taken with Carrie Fisher and the rest of my family dressed as different iterations of Leia.
I love this Cosplay so much, I even used it as my profile picture on this site for a while!
Now that I’ve told you my favorite cosplays that I’ve already done. It’s time to tell you my favorite cosplays that I want to make.
